Modifying Email Addresses

Locations in Content Manager can have email addresses associated to them. To modify the domain component of multiple Location email addresses that have the same address domain components:

  1. From the Search menu, select Find Locations.

    The Search for Locations dialogue appears.

  2. Select the required Location search method and type in the search criteria, and then click OK. A list of all Locations matching the search criteria appears.
  3. Tag the Locations whose email address you want to change, right-click and click Modify Email.

    The Modify Email Apply to dialogue appears. Select All Tagged Rows to apply the change to all selected Locations and then click OK.

    The Modify Email - All tagged Locations dialogue appears.

    • Search For - type in the component of the email address to be updated.
    • Replace with - type in the new email address details that are to be applied to the selected Locations.
  4. Click OK. If multiple Locations are selected, the Modify Email - All tagged Records dialogue appears. Select the required actions, see All Tagged Items dialogue box for details.

Content Manager will run through the selected Locations, updating only those that match the Search For criteria. If Locations have been selected that do not match the Search For criteria the Location's email address will not be modified and an error will be generated.

To modify a single record, you can follow the same procedure, by only selecting one Location, or you can modify a single Location's email address from the Location's PropertiesEmail addresses tab. Right-click on the email address, click Properties and make the required changes.
